Eventbrite App Marketplace Review Guidelines

When posting reviews of App Marketplace Apps, you must abide by both our Community Guidelines and the following rules:

1. Personal experience: You can only review apps that you've actually used on Eventbrite. We want to hear about your firsthand experience with the app on our platform, not what you heard from someone else. Fake reviews are strictly prohibited.

2. Accuracy: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but don't exaggerate or misrepresent your experience.

3. Relevance: Your reviews must be relevant and appropriate to the forum. You should only post reviews of the apps themselves; reviews aren't the place for rants about a developer's employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that don't address the core of the organizer experience with the app.

4. Conflicts of interest: Your contributions must be unbiased and objective. For example, you shouldn't write reviews of your own app, your friends' or relatives' apps, or the apps of your peers or competitors in your industry. App developers must not pay for reviews. If you receive a benefit from the app developer in exchange for writing a review, you must disclose that in your review. A benefit could include a free trial, a discount, or a sweepstakes entry.

5. Inappropriate content: Colorful language is fine, but there's no need for profanity, threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry.

6. Privacy: Don't publicize other people's private information, and don't post other people's full names.

7. Intellectual property: Don't use content from other sites or users; you must write your own reviews.

8. Demanding payment: Do not use removing or posting your review as a way to extract payment from a business, regardless of whether you've been a customer.

Eventbrite reserves the right to redact, delete, or reject your review if it does not conform with Eventbrite’s publication criteria, which may change from time to time at Eventbrite’s sole discretion.
