Marquita René is a 500 RYT, RPYT, Founder of Black Velveteen Yoga and wellness influencer based in Los Angeles. She has been practicing yoga since she was in college at Florida State University. Marquita René has a passion for travel, yoga and trying to keep her house plants alive!

What started as a passive interest/hobby in crystals, candle-making and aromatherapy has now transformed into a black and woman owned candle shop called Black Velveteen Co. Her black soy wax candles are infused with different crystals, essential oils, clean scents & dyes poured into glass jars. The aroma of her candles scent your yoga space allowing you to achieve a sensory experience and tranquility throughout your practice.

Marquita René enjoys teaching a good full body flow with opportunities to twist, float and play! She wants to spread her love to each of her students and looks forward to flowing with you.
